Larry is well-known in his high-rise building. He’s part of an accessible community where he’s lived for more than two decades. Cheerful and outgoing, he’s familiar with most of his neighbors, and between shifts at an assembly site, he serves as an officer in residence, advocating for his fellow residents’ well-being.

He knows how important it is to have support. Larry has needed assistance ever since a car accident in 1994 left him with physical and mental disabilities.

He tries to eat healthy, too, but has limited income options. That’s why the food bank lifts a major weight off his shoulders.

The food bank provides fresh fruits and vegetables as well as dairy, meat, and other staples, which they distribute every month. “Eating healthy is important for me and my neighbors,” he says. “The distribution is building up the community.”

And your support helps get food to seniors like Larry. Thank you for your compassion!

Larry’s story is representative of the people we serve.
