Christmas Food Drive 2011

The 29th Annual U Can Share Christmas Food Drive of the South Plains Food Bank will be held from Monday December 5th through Saturday December 10th. The main location will once again be at the United Market Street at 82nd and Frankford Ave.

This event is a community-wide effort to feed the needy and hungry of Lubbock and the South Plains. U Can Share began as a community service of KCBD-TV NewsChannel 11.

The food and funds collected during the drive help us serve the hungry—not only with 5,000+ Christmas boxes, with each having enough food to provide a week of nourishing meals for a family of four, but with food boxes well into the new year for families in need. Come see us to drop off a donation of food or money.

Our goal this year is 500,000 pounds of food and $150,000.
