South Plains Food Bank meets the BBB Standards for Charity Accountability.


August 1 thru Aug 27, 2012!

Purpose …

Provide basic school supplies for children whose families cannot afford to buy them. (Families are screened and referred to the food bank by the school principals or home liaisons.)

 
Thank you to all those who helped with the 2011 drive …

Volunteers collected donations from shoppers at local United Supermarkets

Helped sort, package, and distribute supplies at the Food Bank

(no college rule, please)

How families can get school supplies for their children...

Vouchers for school supplies can be obtained from your child's school and redeemed at the South Plains Food Bank on Friday, August 17 thru Friday, Aug 24.  Distribution times are 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

In the fall of 2008, 3,980 children, grades kindergarten through senior high school, received the supplies they needed to start school. Since 1991, the food bank has helped prepare over 30,000 children for the first days of school.
