A community-wide food drive sponsored by Covenant Health System, KLBK Channel 13 to benefit the South Plains Food Bank.     

THANK YOU to everyone who participated in the Summer Can-Can Food Drive!! It was HUGE success and a fun week! We even had three grown men in dresses, one with a hat, one with a wig, and one with smooth legs -- all in the name of feeding the hungry on the South Plains.                                       

We met our, and exceeded, our goal on one full truck per day! In a time of recession, it was refreshing to see the Lubbock community reach out and really help the people who need it most. What a great testimony to the generosity and the spirit of West Texans! 

 

A big THANK YOU to KLLL and all their DJ's for promoting and being a part of the Can-Can food drive! Thank you also to Covenant Health Systems, United Supermarkets, Latino Lubbock Newsletter, Bodyworks, KLBK, Keva Juice (19th and Quaker), Texas Peanut Producers Board and KLBK!! Each of these local entities made the event a success -- we couldn't do it without you!!
