How Do I Get Food …
Food is distributed by the Food Bank through a network of 250 social service agencies and churches in 21 counties. Each agency or church provides food to those in need through either an on-site feeding program, pantry, or through the voucher program.
A Voucher for a food box is given to an individuals or family after they are screened for eligibility by an individual at that an agency or church. The voucher is redeemable at the Food Bank for a food box.
Pantries are located at some agencies and churches to provide food immediately, on-site to individuals or families in need. As with the voucher program, the individual or family is screened for eligibility.
On-site feeding programs include soup kitchens, Salvation Army, Meals on Wheels, residential programs, senior citizen centers, and other programs that serve meals to the people they serve.
Daily information about the availability of a meal or a food box can be found by calling 211. (not available from cell phones)
