Becoming a Food Bank Volunteer is easy!

All you need is a willingness to work!

Here are a few things to know:

  • Ability to abide by the safety rules of a working warehouse. This includes wearing warehouse-appropriate clothing: closed-toed shoes (tennis shoes or work boots are preferred), long pants/jeans or walking shorts, no tank or crop tops.
  • If under 16, must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult. (In fact, we encourage families to work together! Saturday workdays are great for families.)
  • Individuals are welcome.
  • Groups working in the warehouse during regular hours (Monday through Friday) need to schedule with Berry Massey, Volunteer Coordinator, 806-763-3003, (email: volunteer@spfb.org).
  • Volunteers for the reception desk and special events should contact Berry Massey, Volunteer Coordinator, 806-763-3003, (email: volunteer@spfb.org).
  • Training is provided as needed.

Register - Weekday Volunteer

Regular hours are available Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

We are very excited to have your help! To ensure we have a place for you, please register no later than 2pm on the day before you want to volunteer. 
If volunteering on Monday, please register by 2pm on the preceding Friday. Thank you!



Register - Saturday Volunteer Saturday Volunteer Days (All dates from 9am to 12pm unless otherwise noted)

December 17 — 12-3pm



Register - Christmas Volunteer
Volunteer opportunities are available at the times listed by each date. Minimum 2-hour shift.

Dec. 16th—Senior box distribution (8:45am-4pm)

Dec. 19th—Agency box distribution (8:45-4:30pm)

Dec. 20th—Christmas box distribution (8:45am-5pm)

Dec. 21st-- Christmas box distribution (8:45am-5pm)

Dec. 22nd-- Christmas box distribution (8:45am-5pm)
