The South Plains Food Bank is committed to making sure children in our community have the nutrition they need to learn, grow, and thrive. One of the ways we do this is through our School Pantries and seasonal meal programs that provide food to students throughout the year.
Feeding Students During the School Year
During the academic year, we bring after-school snacks to Boys and Girls Clubs across Lubbock. These snacks help bridge the gap between school lunch and dinner, giving students the energy they need to focus on homework, after-school activities, and spending time with friends.
Summer Meal Partnerships
When the school year ends, our work continues. Through our partnership with Lubbock ISD, we provide breakfast, lunch or snack, and at some locations, an afternoon snack. Last summer, we served around 1,000 kids each day. This program ensures children have consistent access to nutritious meals, even when school is not in session.

Support Our Mission with a Donation
Every dollar you donate helps us continue programs like:
- Youth Leadership Program – Empowering the next generation through education and hands-on service.
- Senior Box Program – Providing monthly food boxes to seniors who face food insecurity.
- Mobile Pantry – Bringing fresh and shelf-stable foods directly to neighborhoods in need.
Your generosity allows us to keep expanding these initiatives and sustain programs like our School Pantries that feed hundreds of children daily.
